My legs hurt.
I have a cold (again).
And I'm so tired I've had two naps today ( one when I was supposed to be eating lunch).

This can only mean one thing.

I HAVE SURVIVED MERICI'S YEAR 11 CONFRENCE!

So, conference was fun.

I missed the bus in the morning, so I was doomed to take the smaller bus (I think it was Julie) with Mrs Dickie (a pregnant woman full of horomones driving a bus who happens to also be my house co.) and Mrs Eloweise (A extremely tall lady who I have never had as a teacher and looked at me strangely (and with pity) when I was introduced to her). But even if i wanted to, I couldn't hear what they where saying, as they where down the front and I was up the back of the most rickety bus in the world. All I had for entertainment was my phone and my mp3 player. All things aside, it was quite comfortable on the bus. Quite peaceful. Though it was a bit better when I was able to get onto the actual buses after they had stopped off in cooma.

The first thing we where asked to do when we got there was grab our bags and get a folder (with our names on them) from our house co's that contained  a schedule and name tag-y thingy's that you put around your neck that we needed for the three days.

I've taken so many pictures and video's that I need to swap with Lucy (and Alissa if she wants to) when we all get the time.

Anyways, since I'm half asleep and I've forgotten what I was going to type in the first place I shall leave it at this.

I HAVE A PUPPY!!!!!

Yes. Now the full story.

Well, I’ve wanted another puppy for quite some time now. Ever since I found out my Patch was sick. I wasn’t trying to replace her, I was just too close to her that if she happened to pass away *knocks on wood* during my years at college I just don’t think I could stand it. So I constantly begged my mother for a puppy. I thought it would just be one of those things that becomes a running joke (Like me wanting a baby duck) in my family, but yesterday I got my puppy.

On Saturday my mother was looking in the papers (for cars for my brother and sister, which is another reason I get a puppy, cause they get cars) and found a litter of MaltezeX Shiz-zu puppies for sale. We called them up and left a message on their answering machine. They didn’t call back so yesterday we called them and they said both girls had gone and all they had was a boy left. We couldn’t get a boy because Patch (a girl) isn’t de-sexed. So left it at that. Then we went out to the petstore to have a look around. I found two jack russles X malteze (and two kittens that where just sooo cute!). Unfortunately mum and me are both allergic to dogs that shed (jack russles) and kittens (though I wasn’t expecting to get one of those) so they where out of the question. When I got home I decided to look up on the internet the trading post. After 5 pages of looking I finally found a litter of malteze X shitz-zu puppies for sale. 3 girls all at $400 each. In queenbyn. But the add had been put in on the 17^th. I immediately got my mother into the room to show her. She wrote down the number and said she’d call for me. To tell the truth, I never expected her to call. I expected to be reminding her for days to call. But, to my surprise, she called right after she talked to me. One puppy was left. Nobody wanted it because it wasn’t outgoing or as playful as the others. So we got into the car and headed off to queenbehole.

She had two brothers and 2 sisters. She was the first born and when I first held her I fell in love with her. We bought her (yay!) and took her home.

She knows me as mama now. My brother is uncle Jayden and my sister, Aunty Jessica. My mum is Mummy the second after she refused the name Nanna, and My step dad is grandpa Stephen, or just Stephen. She’s slowly getting used to her name, but knows to come to me when I say “come to mama, sweet.” We’ve been sleeping in the lounge room, her refusing to sleep unless she’s near me. So all night long I either have this little thing crying at me cause she can’t see my face, climbing over my head to find a comfortable position to fall asleep on or biting my fingers and wanting to play. She newspaper trained (which means she’s more potty trained then patch is at the moment), she eats 3 meals a day (Puppy porridge for breakfast, 2 scoops of puppy dinner for lunch and then half a packet of puppy dinner for dinner), and sleeps for an hour then plays for an hour. I think my family is a bad influence on her. She was so quiet when we first saw her and now she’s an outgoing little bugger. She’s chew on anything, which is okay cause she’s teething so she only has something like 4 teeth now.

As you can tell I sound like a proud mother. I feel like a proud first mother. When I’m not worrying about her when she’s near me I’m worrying about her when she’s not near me. I now have no time to myself. Because even if I get one of my family members to take care of her I’m still either worrying about her or sleeping. Even as I type this I’m continuously looking over at her to see if she’s okay. (She’s awake now and wants to chew things). She’s so small I’m scared she’ll get lost somewhere.

Her favorite toy at the moment is a little wooly thing we used to have on our seat belts in our car. She loves to chew it non-stop. She’ll also chew on anything else. Anyways. I’ve gone on for a page and a bit now, so it’s now time for pictures under the cut.

Anyways. I have to go and take care of my sweet so she doesn't wake up and find mama gone. So I'll post more later.

Yes. A new year calls for a new layout. Welcome, world, my new livejournal layout for 2007.
God damn. 2007. Time flies by etc etc.
I'm gonna be a senior this year *does the happy senior dance* Four years of Merici and my time of the senior power has finally started for me. Time to scare year sevens.
While I'm here I might as well update this thing.
Holidays are going pretty well. I've still been in hibernation for most of it, but it's been fun. I've got to start working to get my body clock back in order. Hurray for no sleep! ;p
My brothers birthday is on Australia day, so he's having his 18th birthday party on the night before. Hurray for hanging around a bunch of my brothers drunk friends! But seriously, it's going to be pretty cool.
I have to get a whole lot done in the next few weeks, including getting my brothers present finished and making my dad's jewlery/candle holders/candles site. Handmade by cookie is his label, so expect to see me plugging that website pretty soon.

anyways, don't have much else to say. I just hope you like my new layout/banner and enjoy your holidays.

I made everything. I even put the hat on the Tuesday penguin! (mwahahaha). Brushes (snowflakes and the grunge brushes I used) where from 100x100 as usual.

Yeah, I spent from 12 till 2:30 last night cleaning up my room. And I slept on the couch because everything was piled up on my bed so I couldn’t get to it. Finally got to sleep at 3:30. Woke up at 7:30, because my dearest mother decided to check if I had had my tablets yet. Couldn’t get back to sleep.

And so I face my fork in the road in this situation. I’m too tired to clean my room, but if I don’t clean up my room then I’m doomed to another night on the couch, meaning that I’ll have another horrible sleep and another early morning. Oh the joys of spring cleaning.

But anyways, how is everybody?  I haven’t written on here in a while. I hope everybody’s holidays are going just swell (you know I’m tired when I resort to old fashioned language.)

Shit, I just broke my shift key. Damn it. Now I have two key’s missing, one falling off and another just hanging on. There just fixed my shift key. All is fine in the world now.

Oh, on more news, I updated the merici pics thing (I know how many people hate that thing because of the quality of the pictures, but they’re saved as png’s now, not jpeg’s, so better quality at a smaller file) with my graduation/last day pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Hello all.
God, long time no write. Eh, I guess alot of stuff has gotten in the way, but it's all over now (hopefully).

So how are we all? how have our holidays been? Mine have been pretty good. I've got to get out more. I'm trying not to coup myself up in my house all holidays like i always do. Since my sister and my mother both work I've pretty much been at home with my brother most of the holidays. He's an interesting fellow, as most of you may know. I told him the other day that I wanted a Mac next year to do some media editing work on it. His reply: "Over my dead body!". I think if we had been in a shop looking at computers and I had said that to him he would have hit me.

I drew something the other day. I really can't be bothered to go and grab my laptop to post it on here but I thought it was cool. Maybe I'll post it later. I need another awsome tuesday post!

haha, my phone just rang. Me and my brother both refuse to awnser the phone so our deal is who ever yells out "bags not" first doesn't have to do it. We love it when my sisters home cause she always awnseres it.

hmmmm.... I guess I should do a top five, cause it's been so long.

okay, top five best random things to do with friends in the holidays.

1. camp out in your loungeroom (and I mean properly camp out! tent and all!)
2. go into civic and see how many times you can break into song at random moments. Flim it if you can.
3. have a movie marathon. Or if you feel like it, a video games torniment. Or a board game marathon. (this is when you actuatly finish a game of monopoly ;) )
4. read a book together. I know, it sounds lame, but it's really funny if you do it right. Get a whole bunch of friends together and get your favourite book. Then asign each person in the group a character as well as asigning a narrator and go crazy. Ten times the fun late at night when you're half alseep.
5. Last but not least, chill.

I have now created my tabs for every post way back to the first post when the tuesday penguin was introduced. (The 5th of Febuary this year).
I have also (if you actuatly look at my livejournal, and not your friends page) put up a banner (that I made in under 10/20 mins, thats why it isn't that good) to pretty up my page and changed the color theme of my lj.

Okay, Top five things I've learnt from movies
1. If you're in a war and going home the next day, have a wife and kids at home or are going to get married soon, never EVER tell the main character this. You just might end up dead.
2. If you're on a losing baseball team and you start getting coached by a celebrity, you're most likely gonna win or you're going to lose, but it will still be a victory for you.
3. Always be the good guy. You get the love interests, you live (majority of the time), you get to beat the baddy, and you might even get laid. Oh and the whole moral crap of going to heven and the like. 
4. Musicals can happen. People can just break into song at any random moment.
5. People getting hurt is funny. No-body knows why, but it just is.
